Seasonal Rates

Our cottage and camping rates are reduced  each fall thru spring just in time for fall outings, holiday gatherings, reunions or just a fun weekend excursion.  The summer crowds thin out but there is plenty to do on the Guadalupe in our warm fall months.  River trips are available daily and our pool is open for as long as our guests wish to enjoy it.  Our 1/4 mile river front park is perfect for relaxing, bird watching or trying your hand at fishing.  Trout stockings begin here in late fall and continue thru the winter with rainbow and brown trout stocked on site by Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited and by Texas Parks and Wildlife.  River access is available for non- guests for a river access and parking fee of $5.00 per person.  Boat launching is possible here for a nominal fee and during the winter season only, private boat shuttles are available to one of three access points upstream for a minimum fee of $20.00 or $8.00 per person.

Our booking policies are more relaxed during the fall and spring so if you cannot get away for 2 or more nights, call us and we will try our best to work with you.  Let us know if you have special needs - if you forget your coffee pot or towels, no problem, we can loan you some of ours.

Spring and summer are perfect times to visit Comal County, Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River- great weather and lots to see and do.
Great music is abundant in Gruene and New Braunfels almost nightly and many shows are free- check out the line up at Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas.


Summer is here and it's time to get wet!  Get outside in the Texas Hill Country or for Guadalupe River floating or fishing in our cool clear water.  There is great Rainbow Trout fishing and River Road is beautiful with limestone cliffs and views of the river. Camping, fishing, rafting, kayaking, tubing, bird-watching and relaxing are just some of the activities available here at Rio Raft & Resort.
Whitewater Ampitheater has great music  - even some free shows!  Only five minutes from Rio, this is a wonderful venue for local and national acts.

Our efficiency is perfect for weekend getaways - just bring your kitchen supplies - utensils and cooking equipment or enjoy dining out at one of the many local restaurants.

Camping/RV Rates

Tent Sites

Rio Raft & Resort's camping on the Guadalupe River has many tent sites available. Tent sites have a picnic table and access to our 1/4 mile of Guadalupe River frontage, bathrooms and showers.  Electricity and water is at the site-  no open fires allowed so bring your own fire pit or bbq grill (during dry seasons, check with us as to any burn bans).

RV w/o Sewer

These level sites are furnished with a picnic table, water and 30amp electrical service.  Ideal for tenting with power for lights and fans and for smaller trailers and motorhomes (these sites are back-in).

RV w/ Sewer Pull-Thru 30 Amp

Our pull thru 30 amp sites are level and can accomodate large rigs.  Each site has a picnic table, water, 20 and 30 amp plugs, sewer connection. Cable TV is available at these sites for $3.00 per day or $40.00 per month.  

River Front 30 Amp Only

There are 6 level sites overlooking the Guadalupe River -  sites 53, 55, and 57 are best suited for 5th wheel or travel trailer hook-ups - longer hoses might be necessary in sites 54, 56, and 58.  Each site has a picnic table, water, sewer connection and 20 and 30 amp plugs plus a wonderful view of the Guadalupe River.  Cable TV is available for $3.00 per day or $40.00 per month.

RV w/ Sewer Pull-Thru 50 Amp

Each 50 amp pedestal or hook-up is shared with a 30 amp service - there is a maximum of eleven 50 amp sites and six of those have cable TV availability.
